ThorBlock V2 is fast approaching and it will deliver two new pooling options: Charity and Fundraising. This year, COVE was created and will look to become active in the new year with a particular focus on charity raising utilizing blockchain via ThorBlock. This announcement is an effort to involve the entire community in our first COVE sponsored raise.
Our intent is to follow the COVE model and research one of the suggested charity organizations presented by the community, at large. We decided that it may be fun to have a drawing for a ThorBlock V1 hoodie (known admirably by the team as ‘The Vintage-V1’). The V1 has never been released to the public. There is an extremely limited amount of V1s; to us, it represents the beginning of innovation, especially that of ThorBlock. It could be considered a piece of SHA history. This competition is for the collectors out there, whether you can wear it or you have bragging rights, it will be the only public V1 (verified for authenticity via the VeChain Blockchain).
If you are interested in being considered for the drawing of V1, here are the calls.
A Twitter post:
- Why a transparent, decentralized charity model is beneficial or
- How blockchain could change charity organizations
- Tag 5 charities
- #TheVintageV1
- #ThorBlockCharity
The charities you tag should be raising for something you feel passionate about. There are several wonderful charities out there. Choosing one would be difficult, so we are going to integrate a point system.
- First tagged charity will be given three (3) points.
- Every tagged charity thereafter, will receive (1) point.
The charity that has the most points will be researched and contacted by Safe Haven shortly after the release of ThorBlock Charity.
Those who have participated in the event beginning immediately and ending on January 1, 2020, will have a chance to win the only V1 VeChain verified hoodie — as we will randomly choose one winner from all participants. This will be made public in January, 2020.
As we look forward, let us make note of efforts that strive to better the world we share. It is our hope that this event begins a steadfast pursuance of selfless efforts in 2020. Thank you for your continued support.
